Caribbean Princess Cruise Ship Review

The following review of the Caribbean Princess was submitted to me by a close friend. She has been taking Caribbean cruises for many years. This particular cruise happened to be a wedding present from her husband. I hope you find the post interesting and informative.

I just returned from my 7 day cruise to the Caribbean on board the Caribbean Princess with my husband for our honeymoon.   I could not have asked for a better wedding gift!
It was a blast and I have nothing but good praises for the aptly named Princess of the cruises.

Our balcony room is the biggest I’ve had in my entire cruising experience – which is a lot.  Added to this is the wonderful balcony that is really private and cozy for us newlyweds.  The bathrooms are a tad too small, but we can’t really complain given the size of our room!  The bathroom experience was also made easier by the constant supply of bath essentials (plus lotions!).

The public areas of the Caribbean Princess such as the atrium are tastefully decorated, in fact better than tasteful.

The dining experience was fantastic. We dined mostly in the Palm Dining Room although there are numerous dining alternatives on board the ship.   Make sure to have advance reservations, though, as these restaurants tend to be fully occupied during dining hours. Caribe Café was our chosen destination for breakfast.  The menu was satisfying for big appetites such as ours.  The drinking stations were a little limited, though, considering the number of diners there.

We liked the casino and won a few rounds in Roulette! We did not really have time to enjoy the nightly entertainment, because we were mostly doing what newlyweds do. <wink>

The staff and the crew of the Caribbean Princess were all very helpful and attentive.  We didn’t have to wait long to have our needs attended to.

In hindsight, I am amazed that despite the fact there were more than 3,000 passengers on board, we never really felt that it was too crowded. Well, except during embarkation and disembarkation which is to be expected.

The onshore excursions were fantastic for the simple reason that the ports of call were all beautiful with divine beaches.  We did not take a lot of tours though.  We just enjoyed walking on the beaches, which are fabulous and romantic.

All in all, our Caribbean Princess cruise was just perfect bliss! It made our honeymoon all the more special and we were able to make sweet memories.  We are surely going to take another cruise from them, perhaps on our wedding anniversary!
